I selected Paul Simon being inspired and touched by several of his songs I listen to as a child. My mother would often play the same cassette tape of classic rock songs while we’re driving in the car. One particular song that I connected to is “Bridge Over Troubled Water”. This song is also considered to be one of the “top 5” in my mother’s song choice.

Paul Simon grew up with parents who were teachers. His father being a college professor and an upright bass player. His mother being an elementary school teacher. The father helped Simon and Garfunkel wrote their first song together when Simon was the age of 12.
Simon has married 3 times in his life. Interesting to note, his 2nd marriage was with Carrie Fisher. Simon is currently still with his third wife, Edie Brickwell with whom he had three children with.
Simon has become a major proponent for music education through financial support to non-profit organizations, giving workshops to young students with interest in recordings, and founding the Guitar Study Center

7. Career Biography of Paul Simon (10 Complete Sentences)
Paul Simon is most well known for his partnership with Art Garfunkel during the 60’s. Together the duo was known as Simon and Garunkel. Both Simon and Garfunkel have known each other for a long time since the age of 11 which was approximately the time they started the musical career with a 6th grade production of “Alice in Wonderland”. During their partnership, Simon was the song-writer for the majority of their repertoire and the guitarist while Garfunkel was the lead singer. After the duo’s breakup, Simon pursued his own solo career writing and recording his own music. He has joined tours and performances with other artists such as BIlly Joel and Sting.
