To Really Love People!

7. To REALLY love people…
12:1 We need to offer ourselves to God as a living sacrifice...

8. To REALLY love people… Offer ourselves to God as a living sacrifice.
12:2a Be transformed by renewing our mind.
To offer ourselves to God, we need faith, grace, baptism, and the Spirit! This relationship is what changes us from the inside out.

9. To REALLY love people…
12:2b…is to know God’s good and perfect will.

10. But what does really loving people look like?
Love is much more than these!

11. LOVE Real is…(12:9-21) Where the Gospel gives us power to…
…be sincere.
…hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
…be totally devoted.
…honor others above self.
…be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
…share with the Lord’s people who are in need.
…practice hospitality.
…bless those who persecute; bless and not curse. 
…rejoice with those who rejoice; to mourn with those who mourn.
…live in harmony with others...and not be conceited.
…not repay anyone evil for evil.
…be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.
…feed the enemy when he’s hungry and give them drink when they’re thirsty.
…not get overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

12. Real LOVE… …is sincere. …hates what is evil; clings to what is good.
…is devoted.
…honors others above itself.

13. Real Love…
…is joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
…shares with the Lord’s people who are in need.
…practices hospitality.

14. Real Love… …blesses those when persecuted; blesses and does not curse.
…rejoices with those who rejoice; mourns with those who mourn.
…lives in harmony with others... is not conceited.

15. Real Love… …does not repay anyone evil for evil.
…is careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.
…will even love enemies by giving them food and drink.
