2018 LEAP2025 DATES 5th Grade: Online Computerized Tests Testing window: April 18 through April 24 for ELA, Math, Science & Social Studies Students will take 2 – 3 sessions per day

NOTES It is important that all students take these tests seriously and try their best. Students are expected to behave and not distract others while testing is taking place. Students who are here for the tests, behave, and try their best will receive a free snowball after testing in May. Students who have an IEP (Special Education), IAP (504) or ACE (ESL) will receive testing accommodations according to their plan.

NOTES Since every day of school prepares your child for testing, it is important that he/she is here every day. Students should behave in class, participate, and complete all classwork assignments. Students should do their homework and study regularly. Students should try their best on weekly tests and common assessments in order for the teacher to get valid information on your child’s progress.

IMPORTANT Please make sure that you do not make any medical appointment for your child on testing days. It is extremely important that students are present in school everyday. On testing days, attendance is crucial and students should only miss school in case of an absolute emergency.

How Can I Help my Child at Home?
Students use iready at school. Students can sign in and access their accounts at home. This is designed to help reach mastery of grade level material. Students use typing.com in school. This will help them succeed at the short answer and essay portion of the test. The Louisiana Believes website has many practice test to help prepare. Go to the website below and choose the appropriate grade level for practice tests and answers. 5th Grade students should use the online training tool to practice the online assessment: Additional resources and websites to visit at home: Fun educational games and short videos Fun videos on a huge rage of topics Free to sign up, videos, and practice Free to sign up, videos, and practice.
