2 How to Present Research
What are infographics? Ways of presenting information/data with graphics/images that aim to: Illustrate Explain Reveal Clarify Stimulate And be memorable.

3 Example InfoGraphics This depicts and briefly describes key events the timeline of the moon landings, some of the processes and people involved, along with iconic images

4 Example InfoGraphics This explains the issue of plagiarism, via an explanation of how to correctly quote a statement made by J K Rowling The imagery of characters is intended to make each point memorable, via some humorous relationship with the point being explained

5 Example InfoGraphics These are very basic infographics. These both depicts Todorov’s narrative theory as a cycle, although it could also be represented as a progression. Neither of these is very interesting or memorable. And the first not accurate as the state of ‘Equilibrium’ at the beginning of a story not ‘all as it should be’, but is more typically dysfunctional and unhappy state for the protagonist(s)

For the Task in Class and homework use either of these free websites (registration is required), to create your own infographics. Both are easy to use and have step by step guides, templates and resources you can customise. Import your own backgrounds and images Harvard reference any text you import in the bottom right of the infographic N.B. Although these sites auto-save, you are strongly advised to SAVE manually every 10 minutes.

8 TASK IN CLASs & Homework
Present previous TWO pieces of research you’ve completed either in class or as homework using infographics: Factual programming? Trustworthy or unreliable? Todorov’s Narrative Theory Ensure your infographics have strong visuals that either illustrate, explain, reveal or clarify. And that they are stimulating and memorable! Complete for homework and upload to your Weebly Unit 2 Research page
