Tips Teaching Include syllabi with SLOs and methods of assessment clearly displayed Only include syllabi from multiple semesters if significant changes were made Describe changes based on assessment/anecdotal evidence Include a summary table of teaching evaluations Include a selected student comments section for a quick overview Don’t go overboard; no need to print out every praiseworthy
10
Tips Scholarly growth For presentations For manuscripts
Include proof of acceptance (conference program) Include poster print out / other materials Include full manuscript for paper given and slides (if applicable) For manuscripts Differentiate those in preparation, under review, and published Let us know a little about standards in your field Local, state, national, or international? Is this generally accepted as scholarship?
11
Tips Service Focus mostly on discipline specific service
List and DESCRIBE your roles, leadership positions held, and accomplishments Things like donating money to churches or local organizations probably isn’t necessary
12
General Tips White space is good! Make it reader friendly and easy to digest Clearly label sections Don’t make us have to grab a stapled packet out of a plastic sleeve Have one binder for the application and a separate one for supplemental materials at the MOST Once again, no need to go overboard
