Mystic Hills HOA Meeting
October 5, 2018 Discussion: Conceptual redesign Line of sight effect Arizona Water Company
5
Tank Size Justification
Volume Calculation Maximum Day Demand (MDD): 880,600 gallons Fire Flow (FF): 3,000 gpm for 3 hours = 540,000 gallons FF + MDD = 1,420,600 gallons Tank Size: 1.5 MG Why not two 750,000 gallon tanks? Pump requirements would remain the same Will require construction at two different sites May need two separate pump stations Additional piping Higher maintenance and operation costs The layout of the facilities above grade will not change much More cost effective to build one larger tank Arizona Water Company

9
Design Changes Building relocated to east to minimize affects to line of sight Chemical room no longer required Chemical storage reduced from 500 gal to 55 gal drum Chemical handling moved to pump room Same chemical used for swimming pool disinfection 2 buildings separated up by “patio” area Lattice above and behind open area to screen temporary generator Overall lower building elevations & smaller building footprint Arizona Water Company

Excavation & Blasting Info
24
Excavation/Blasting Plan
Approximately 135 feet diameter 24 feet deep Blasting completed in two lifts, 12 to 13 feet each Each lift divided into four areas Each area will require two days of drilling (Approximately 85 holes) 60-75 dba One day for setting the charges Blast – Approximately 2 seconds Sound Level – 100 to 120 dba (Less than and as quick as a thunderclap) Arizona Water Company
