8 Why do we need PBIS at Southwest?
Overview What is PBIS? Why do we need PBIS at Southwest? An approach to preventing and responding to school and classroom discipline concerns. Teach and promote positive behavior in all students reducing behavioral problems. Creates and maintains a safe learning environment where teachers can teach and students can learn. According to the data from SWIS: Students needed consistency in the language when it come to expectations at various areas around school campus. Referral process needed to be structured to address the instructional time lost due to discipline issues. Pg. 4-5
