2 Obligatory questions The activities done vary but focus on educational work What are the different kinds of activities you do for your university work? How much time you spend on each in a typical week? How is it different during exam time? The most effective for achieving learning outcome of the course are: Lectures Group work Library work Internet research

3 Obligatory questions Most of my time is spent on lectures in a typical week Activities Time spent and difference in exam times Lectures On most occasions we usually have 10 lectures a week each lasting 2-3 hours and during exam times we usually don’t have any lectures since we are given time to revise about two weeks to exam time. Seminars The institution may organize for seminars about twice a semester. We also have different organizations coming to hold seminars in our institution once a month to tell us more about what they do in their company. During exam times there are rarely any seminars maybe on weekends. Projects We do projects as group work of which we meet 4 times a week for about 2 hours to discuss them. During exam times we usually don’t have any projects. Research I usually carry out research every evening for about 2 hours to complete my assignments .During exam times I don’t do research as I spend most of my time revising through my work. Library work I visit the library everyday for 3 hours after my lectures and weekends on Sunday evenings. During exam times I spend around 2 hours in the library after my exams to revise for my next exam which I don’t take too much time revising for since I had read earlier Internet research I usually conduct internet research for 1 hour a day to research on my assignments and know about what’s hapenning in the economy. During exam times I don’t conduct internet research since I spend most of my time revising but if I come across a question that needs research I go through it. Group work We are given group work on most of our common courses and also the other courses which we meet 4 times a week for about 2 hours to discuss. During exam times we usually meet on the weekends to discuss various questions and how to tackle them when we come across them in our examinations

5 Activities that I have time for
Most of my time is spent on academic work Apart from your university work what other demands( such as private and professional commitments)do you have on your time in a typical week? Say what these are and roughly how much time they take. I help my mother to know about open tenders and their deadlines it doesn’t take much time since I pass through the newspaper when am in the library half an hour a day. I do online jobs mostly in economics I do them on the weekends Saturday after church and Sunday evenings for about 3 hours. I help my mother and advise her on how to best brand her products once a month. I advise my mother on how to improve the quality and minimize costs to maximize profits doesn’t take much time 1 hour on the weekends.

6 Optional Questions I would like to be contribute to society and help build my nation What job would you like to get(a)when you leave the university and (b) in ten years time? When I leave the university: I would like to develop my personal brand and place myself in an advantageous spot given the fierce competition in the job market. I would like to work smart and make my transition from class work to the job market as smooth as it could be. Get a mentor to help guide me as I grow professionally and personally. Be a useful member of the society by taking up volunteer projects and contributing to better my local community and society at large. In ten years time: I would have learnt to work well with my co-workers. I would have specialized more and acquired work experience that would equip me for a managerial job. I would have started a business of my own that would have taken off. I would have contributed to society and started a self help group to help improve my community.

7 Skills and competencies
In the long run I would like to be a productive member of society what skills and competences are needed to get and do these jobs? How would you demonstrate these abilities to potential employers? Learning agility: I would use the knowledge that I have gathered in order to apply it and achieve the best results. Performance: I would exceed my expectations in my class work. Integrity: I would work smart and set a bar that my employer would be proud of. Team player: I would have learnt to work well with my team members in order to achieve the desired results. Leader: I would king up leadership positions from a young age and make the maximum use of my knowledge and experience. I would demonstrate this to employers by: Having business acumen: I always conduct research to be able to find about a company that I want to work in. The skills required and how the company is doing in terms of profitability and growth of employees. I would also showcase my knowledge in teamwork which I have gained as a group leader at my institution. Problem solving: I would also put forward my skills in actively providing practicable solutions to the problems I come across in my day to day life. Leadership: As a group leader I have learnt how to motivate my team to be able to excel in our academic work this is a skill I would show my employer. Ability to work under pressure: I would do my class work while taking up other active projects like now am doing economics and accounting so long as I achieve my goals pressure is not a setback but a motivation.
