SFHS Baseball Mission Statement
Excellence, both on and off the field What is it? The continuous, relentless, never ending commitment to improve It’s the gradual result of always trying to get better To be considered ELITE there is an improvement of 60% over the course of 5 years and is more obtainable than you think 12% a year 1% a month .23% a week .032% a day What does it look like? Getting the field earlier, training harder, practicing harder, working smarter, and preparing more than others care to or expect to. It is an all the time thing! It becomes a habit, and so does winning Unfortunately, so does losing & mediocrity
15
Pyramid of Excellence
16
Program Standards Good enough never is Be on time
Don’t do anything that will embarrass you, your family, or the program
17
Championship Program A GREAT team is more than just a collection of great players Anything at all can be accomplished if we can get enough people to care about what we’re doing In order to have a championship team, you must have champion people that make up the team Weak teams avoid challenges. Champions rise up and meet them Tom Brady is starting his 18 season (39 years old), in the rain, at volunteer OTA's, with a practice squad running back.

Focus this Off-Season Develop Leaders
What if every player showed up each day w/ mindset of “who can I serve & how can I help our team do more” Competitiveness ALL GAS! NO BRAKES! Mental Toughness Look in the mirror, That’s your competition Team will run itself Leadership Council Instead of focusing on what we will accomplish, focus on HOW we will do it (Embrace the Journey) Focus this Off-Season
