3 Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help. 4 His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; In that very day his plans perish. Psalm 146:3-4

The God of Jacob Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help,
Whose hope is in the Lord his God, Psalm 146:5

The God of Jacob Who made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever, Psalm 146:6

The God of Jacob Who executes justice for the oppressed, Psalm 146:7a

The God of Jacob Who gives food to the hungry. Psalm 146:7b

Jacob’s God is identified as The Lord
The Lord gives freedom to the prisoners. Psalm 146:7c

The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; The Lord raises those who are bowed down; The Lord loves the righteous. Psalm 146:8

The Lord watches over the strangers; Psalm 146:9a

He relieves the fatherless and widow; Psalm 146:9b

He also executes His plan against the wicked
But the way of the wicked He turns upside down. Psalm 146:9c

Why is the God of Jacob worthy to be served?
1. He practices goodness (v.5-9b) He tolerates no evil (v.9c) He reigns forever The Lord shall reign forever—Your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the Lord! Psalm 146:10

What these things cause the faithful follower of God to do

Conclusion 1. God’s goodness is reminder of the amazing God we serve.
