Entry #3: News Cast Script
Create a news report detailing the journey of one European explorer from our reading (2.3). Your report must include information about why the explorer undertook the journey they did. Entry #4: Memory Can you recall a memory like it happened yesterday? What about that memory allows you to remember it with such detail? Explain your answer in at least one paragraph (5-7 sentences). If you are comfortable sharing your specific memory then tell me all about it!

Entry #5: Letter to a Hero
If you could speak to a 9/11 hero what would you say? Would you thank them? Would you ask questions in order to dig deeper on why they did what they did? Would you be curious about their profession or how the anniversary of this day makes them feel? Compose a letter to a 9/11 hero and say what you would like to say. The hero could have passed on that day or survived. Heroes include but aren’t limited to: firefighters, EMT, first responders, law enforcement, doctors, nurses, ordinary people, POTUS, red bandanna guy, etc.

T/F: I can just get up and go to the bathroom whenever I want. T/F: The agenda is updated every Monday for me to see what’s going on. Where else can you look to see what’s going on with our class? When is it NOT appropriate to have side bar conversations/work with a partner? How can you get extra help if you fall behind with assignments/assessments? If you make below a 70% on an assessment what must you do to earn a re-take? Who is responsible for seeking out your absent work when you are absent? T/F: If I have a missing assignment from the first week of this nine weeks I can totally turn it in right before the report card and still get an A on it. T/F: Running around the room, yelling, and throwing things are three of Mrs. Sellers’ favorite things. T/F: You should never take something that doesn’t belong to you.

Entry #15: 2019 AOC Cause & Effect: 1/14/19
Fold your paper and glue it into your journal as pictured. Label your organizer so that it presents four causes to one effect; a new constitution. As we watch the re-cap clip, identify four causes brought on by the AOC that would lead to a new constitution. On the inside, read how the AOC impacted foreign affairs with the British and Spanish. Answer the questions that follow underlining textual evidence from the passages to support your answers.
