“Command and Control” Feels safer for the insecure Excludes other possibilities and ideas Called accountability but really enforces continued oppression Supports total control by those in power Management instead of transformation Used to decide who and what people are and can be Speaks about people/groups/communities instead of with them Limits potential Ensures that disagreeing or alternative voices are not heard More thoughts? Speaking and writing succinctly supports transformational leadership as encouraged by Ring (2016) and organic, collaborative approaches as pointed to by Wheatley (2005). Everyone is more able to understand and therefore contribute Supports questioning and clarification Creates space for other ideas More inclusive for those with less education or power Supports the possibility of change Supports sharing of power Engages community/people in change process Leadership as opposed to management tool Transformational leadership instead of command and control More ideas?
