Pays up to 16 SH of tuition costs, up to a maximum of $250 per semester hour or $167 per quarter hour; $4000/FY; Fees are not covered!
The new FTA policy eliminates the one-year wait after AIT/BOLC and the ten-year service requirement to use FTA for a master’s degree.
Soldiers must complete Advanced Leaders Course (ALC), Captain’s Career Course (CCC) or Warrant Officer Advanced Course (WOAC) to use FTA towards a master’s degree (*only if you used FTA towards your undergraduate degree).

Cost Verification- Copy of your bill with your name, the school’s name, and an itemized list of costs with the fees separated from the Tuition.
Course Verification-Copy of your semester schedule with your name, start/end dates, SH hours, and course name/number.
Degree Plan- Also called a degree audit. It lists all the classes your school requires for that particular degree. It includes transfer credits and credit through military service (JSTs). SH are also listed.

Forever GI Bill for certain veterans-01JAN2013
Housing allowances are now prorated for reservists called up in the middle of the month.
Reservists called to AD under sections (a) and (b) after 01AUG2009 are now eligible for the GI Bill. Eligible for payments after 01AUG2018

Contribute $100/month for 12 months
What Do I Get?
80% Rate – $1595 / month (Consecutive service of more than 2 years but less than 3 years)
100% Rate - $1994 / month (Consecutive service of more than 3 years)

How Do I Qualify?
Serve at least 90 days in a period of qualifying active duty on or after Sep 11, 2001

Title 10 USC, Sections 688, 12301(a), 12301(d), 12301(g), 12302, 12304
Title 32 AGR
Title 32 USC, Section 502(f), in which orders state “In Support of Operation Noble Eagle” between 11 Sep 01 – 31 May 02
Serve in a qualifying duty status for more than 30 days and separate due to a service-connected disability or injury

How Do I Qualify?
Be in Armed Forces on or after 8/1/09, and
Have completed at least 6 years in the Armed Forces, and
Not have an adverse action flag (including APFT/ABCP failure), and
Agree to serve 4 years from initial date of transfer request
Must initiate transfer of benefits while serving in the Armed Forces
After retiring or separating, can revoke or modify only existing transferred benefits

Payment rates for Chapter 33 are based on percentages of the applicable Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA). The MHA is determined by employer’s zip code.
Percentages are as follows:
100% of the applicable MHA during the first 6 months of training
80% of the applicable MHA during the second 6 months of training
60% of the applicable MHA during the third 6 months of training
40% of the applicable MHA during the fourth 6 months of training
20% of the applicable MHA during the remainder of the training
The apprentice will also receive up to $83 per month for book and supplies for the duration of the training period

What Is It?
The Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education (DANTES) sponsors free college entrance exams as well as high school equivalency exams and college credit equivalency exams to assist Soldiers in their academic pursuits.
How Do I Qualify?

30. Joint Services Transcripts
Joint Services Transcript (JST): The JST is an academically accepted document approved by ACE to validate a service member's military occupational experience and training along with the corresponding ACE college credit recommendations. The JST has replaced the Army/American Council on Education Registry Transcript System (AARTS) and the Sailor/Marine American Council on Education Registry Transcript (SMART).
