2. Introduction
The Grizzly bear is sometimes called the Silvertip bear. They are powerful predators and are mammals.

3. Habitat, Where it Lives
Grizzly bears can be found in woodlands, forests, alpine meadows and prairies. In many habitats they prefer areas along rivers and streams.

Being omnivores, they eat plants and berries, including roots or sprouts, as well as insects and smaller mammals like fish (as shown below).
