3 Birth and Childhood Ben Franklin was born in Boston
Date: January 17, 1706 His father, Josiah, wants his child, Benjamin, to be such a genius, but he only has enough money to have Ben in school for 2 years.

4 Family Life Ben Franklin is the eighth child and the tenth son of Josiah He has twelve siblings and lives in a household of only around nine.

5 Job and Marriage Ben Franklin is a very great writer and printer.
His wife is Rebecca Read. They raise many children.

6 II. Major Accomplishments

7 Involvement in the Revolutionary War
Ben Franklin served on the Continental Congress in 1775, where he helped Thomas Jefferson edit the Declaration of Independence Taxation without representation was a principle upon which America stood firmly

8 The Major Event When Ben Franklin did experiments with a kite and discovers lightning is electricity. Because of that, he won the Copley medal for the discovery that changed our world.

9 Why is Benjamin Franklin famous?
He’s an inventor, politician, printer, and scientist. He also discovered electricity and won the Copley medal.

14 Interesting Facts Ben Franklin was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. He discovered electricity He was like a true hero. He was one person that really changed our world!

Like I said, he was a famous inventor, politician, printer, writer, scientist, and much more! He has his own holiday called Ben Franklin Day. If you want to see him on a statue, go see the Founding Fathers Statue.
