Hillgrove’s Habitat for Humanity
2
What is Habitat for Humanity?
Habitat for Humanity was originally founded in Americus, Georgia in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller. Habitat although originally a Christian organization, focuses on involving any and all members of the community regardless of race, religion, or gender. This organization is currently led by CEO Jonathan Reckford. The goal of this organization is to build better communities. Habitat is widely known as an international nonprofit, but it is also locally known. We actually have a local affiliate in Smyrna here in Cobb County! Since this is Hillgrove's first year as a member of the Cobb County High School Habitat Coalition, we are pleased to share that we will be helping the Habitat Smyrna Affiliate, along with several other schools around Cobb County, to build a house As a club at Hillgrove, we will be serving as a driving force to help our Coalition meet its fundraising goal in order to achieve our mutual goal of building a better community!

Hillgrove’s Habitat for Humanity’s Goals
Building a better community while raising the standard of living for as many people as possible. Spread Hillgrove’s legacy of being “deliberately successful” around the community. Ultimately raise $2,000 by the Spring to participate in the build. Cobb County High School Coalition works together to build a house each year
