Employee Advocate-Driven Rx Cost Transfer Program
The cost of specialty and brand name Rx represents a significant % of the employer’s drug spend and can create a substantial out-of-pocket financial burden for employees Since 2009, this leading prescription advocacy group has been helping employees and employers save money by shifting Rx cost to third party “programs”. This works where the advocacy group coordinates with the individual plan members, one-by-one and their physicians to agree to seek program assistance The advocacy group then makes application to the “programs” (i.e. US-based drug manufacturers, disease specific foundations, donors, associations, philanthropic organizations and grantors) to qualify the member for free or discounted medications

Employee Advocate-Driven Rx Cost Transfer Program
When advocacy is successful for the individual: -the cost of the drug is removed from the employer’s plan and the Rx is no longer submitted to the PBM -the plan member has no or comparatively little out of pocket cost A high quality concierge style call center and robust employee communications support the program’s success No amendment to the Benefit Plan is required when seeking advocacy The employer cost is based on group size and typically consists of a flat monthly fee plus a PEPM Clients range in size from F500 types to smaller employers
