The British royal family comprises the monarch of the United Kingdom and her close relatives. There is no strict legal or formal definition of who is or is not a member of the British royal family and, apart from Queen Elizabeth II herself, different lists include different people.

6. Queen Elizabeth II became a mother almost 70 years ago, when she welcomed her first son Prince Charles in 1948.
Next, the Queen gave birth to Princess Anne.

From September 9, 2015 Queen Elizabeth II is the longest reigning monarch of Great Britain. From October 13, 2016 is the longest reigning living head of state in the world.
She was born on Bruton Street 17 in Mayfair, London on April 21, Her father was the Prince of York Albert, later King George VI. Her mother was Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon.
She received her first name after her mother, the second after her great-grandmother, Queen Alexandra, third after her grandmother, Queen Maria.
As a child she was called by her family "Lilibet". She spent her childhood on Piccadilly Road 145, where the Yorks lived at that time. Elizabeth was an obedient child.

A member of the House of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Philip was born into the Greek and Danish royal families. He was born in Greece, but his family was exiled from the country when he was an infant. After being educated in France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, he joined the British Royal Navy in 1939, aged 18. From July 1939, he began corresponding with the 13-year-old Princess Elizabeth, whom he had first met in 1934.
