Present Simple “I go to church every Sunday” “I am a 2nd year student.” Permanent Regular events / Facts e.g. every week, usually, on Sundays

“I am listening to the radio (right now).”
Present Continuous (am/is/are + -ing) “I am listening to the radio (right now).” “She is preparing for a TOIEC (this month).” The present continuous is not usually used with verbs like: want, be, need, like, understand - Temporary Activity in progress ‘around now’ e.g. nowadays, currently, at the moment, still, this (year)
