Annotated bibliography – 30 points
Due on Friday at beginning of class. Meet in library on Friday (laptops) Office Hours at UA library on Sunday 3-5 Make this as close to your final bibliography as possible. You will not have time to continue researching – you need to start writing! Remember, each annotation needs to include information about the author, summary of content, and how you plan to use it in your IA. Do NOT be vague!

Part b outline – February 5th
Start by outlining general topics to be addressed Must be organized! All parts of question must be addressed! Within each topic (bullet point), include: 3-5 Quotes from sources Ideas/analysis about these quotes (not top priority….yet) Also should include differing perspectives Conclusion What is the answer to your question??? ***A GOOD OUTLINE WILL MAKE WRITING PART B EASIER/MORE ORGANIZED! MAKE THIS COUNT!

THE IA FUN CONTINUES……. Today you are going to play the role of an IB History Moderator! You will be put to work marking a sample IA. Using the mark scheme/rubric on pages 24-26, grade the sample IA starting on page 27. Pay close attention to what is required in each section. Remember, IB uses a “best fit” approach. Continuing on your sheet of paper, list the mark awarded for each section, as well as, a justification for this score. Be ready to discuss!

More IA Fun You are going to practice being an IA Moderator! To start, briefly scan the sample IA on pages in your EA guide. Read the introduction paragraph to the IA on page 38, then read Part B in its entirety. On a ½ sheet of paper give them a score out of 15 and explain why! What did they do well? What was missing? Be ready to discuss!
