2 Common sports in Canada in the 1920's
Some sports that were played in the 1920s include golf, football, baseball, and boxing. Other sports were hockey, tennis, rugby, and .cricket

4 Hockey In the 1920's hockey was a Canadian sport, that instantly became popular in Canada. Hockey was considered Canada's national game, as the popularity for the sport rapidly increased. During the 1920's, NHL (National Hockey League) was formed for Canadian athletes. NHL became an instant success, because many spectators enjoyed watching hockey.When WW1 had ended, many individuals were excited to watch hockey. Hockey became a sport that every Canadian loved. In the 1920's Howie Morenz was known for being the nhl superstar, He played for the Montreal Canadians Hockey was introduced to the olympics in the 1920 olympics

5 Baseball in 1920's In 1920 there were 16 teams in the MLB. These 16 teams included, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Athletics (now Oakland Athletics), Washington Nationals (now Minnesota Twins), Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox, and St. Louis Browns (now Baltimore Orioles).  There were no Canadian teams in the MLB, but baseball was still very popular. Many people watched baseball or listened to it on the radio.

6 Edmonton Grads The Edmonton Grads was a Canadian women's basketball team. The team started in 1915 and was stopped in 1940. At this time basketball was still pretty new. It was only invented in 1891. The Edmonton Grads were very good, they hold north American record for the sports team with the highest wining percentage. The grades were also national and world champions.

7 Lionel conacher Lionel Conacher was a Canadian athlete. Lionel was apart of the Toronto baseball team when they won the international league championship in In hockey he won the memorial cup in 1920. He also won the Stanley cup twice with the Chicago Blackhawks in 1934 and then again with the Montreal maroons in 1935. Lionel also won wrestling, boxing and lacrosse championships. He was named Canadas athlete of the half century. Lionel played from
