2 To Drop or Not to Drop that is the Question?
During times of war, the president is forced to make decisions that will cost the lives of large numbers of people, civilians and soldiers alike. Use the documents you have received and your knowledge of US History to write a well-organized five paragraph argumentative essay that explains your position on whether or not the United States was justified in dropping the atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

3 Essay Requirements Introduction and conclusion – 3-5 sentences
Body paragraphs – 8 sentences min. Each body paragraph must include at least two piece of evidence that are clearly explained Evidence to support your argument MUST come from the documents we have read and discussed Introduce your evidence by using the name of the source and author, not “Document A” Grammar and spelling matter
