The blood of the New Covenant was shed to take our sins away. Genesis 1:26-28

Under his feet was something like a pavement made of sapphire, clear as the sky itself. 11 But God did not raise his hand against these leaders of the Israelites; they saw God, and they ate and drank. 12 The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone, with the law and commands I have written for their instruction.” The leaders saw a vision of God. The leaders ate a meal with God. Genesis 1:26-28

27 Remember the Good News of the Gospel:
Conclusion Remember the Good News of the Gospel: With Abraham: God walked through the halves of the sacrificed animal (Genesis 15). With Moses: Israel had the blood of the Old Covenant sprinkled on them (Exodus 24). With Jesus: But… Jesus' blood was shed as the blood of the New Covenant to take our sins away (Luke 22:20). Genesis 1:26-28
