2 Recife, Pernambuco Population: 1.4 million
It is known as the Brazilian Venice because of it’s many canals, waterways, and the innumerable bridges that span them. It is also an important center of culture and folklore.

3 Fernando de Noronha, PE Population: 1.749
It is an isolated of volcanic islands located in S. Equatorial, 340mi from Recife, Pernambuco. The main island has an area of 6.2mi long and make 91%of total area. The Archipelago is home to the largest bird breeding colonies of all the islands of the Tropical S. Atlantic. The Archipelago hosts ecologic sites ideal for an exuberant marine animal life. It is a model modern preservation.

4 Fortaleza, Ceara Population: 1.96
It is a large modern city where bold, new architecture contrasts with beautiful beaches and tall coconut palms. On the beaches it is typical to see fishermen at work and on shore the wives patiently produce delicate lace and embroidery.

5 Joao Pessoa, Paraiba Population: 549.363
City is located on the banks of the Paraiba River. It possesses lovely beaches and fascinating historical monuments, including colonial monasteries. Campina Grade is a small town located, 60mi inland. It is the site of the Inga Rock, which bears mysterious primitive inscriptions.

6 Maceio, Alagoas Population: 723.230
Among it’s beautiful beaches- reputed to be the best in Brazil: Jatiuca, Jacarecica, Guaxuma, Garca Torta. The town abundant with colonial architecture including houses, monuments, squares, and churches whose facades are decorated with colorful tiles.

7 Natal, Rio Grande de Norte
Population: It is a city of extraordinary beaches dotted with tiny fishing villages. The Reis Magos Fort, the birthplace of the city.
