Cost Calculations The sub total price for the food only was $79.85,and was calculated as follows: ($1.75x4)+$7.89+$14.99+$15.99+$20.99+$12.99=$79.85 The sales tax is 8.25%,so the tax total for $79.85 is $6.59 and was calculated as follows: A=.0825x$79.85; A=$6.59 The subtotal with tax was $86.44 and was calculated as follows: $79.85+$6.59=$86.44 The server did a ok job and was given a tip of $12.97, and was calculated as follows: A=.15x$86.44; A=$12.97 The total amount of the meal with tip and tax was $99.41, and was calculated as follows:$86.44+$12.97=$99.41
