Students will listen to episode 2 “The Breakup” – and analyze the dynamics and chronological events between Hae and Adnan – as demonstrated through taking notes and answering guiding questions.

*In episode 2 “The Breakup,” the narrator addresses two central questions about the case. 1. Write down both primary questions that Sarah is trying to answer (2:05): What was their relationship and breakup really like? Was he so hurt that he decided to kill her? 2. While you’re listening, take notes on each character’s perspective on these central questions. (The state, Hae, Aisha, Becky, Jay, Saad, Ms. Effron, Shamim (Adnan’s mom), Donna Philips, Sarah) Try to write down some exact quotes when you can.
