25 Let us Return to Scripture

26 Romans 1 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.

27 so that they are without excuse.
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made  even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.

28 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,
21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.  22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,

29 Snake worship in Pompeii

30 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image
made like corruptible man —and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

31

32 24 Therefore God also gave them up
to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonour their bodies among themselves,

33 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie,
and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

34

35 26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions.
For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.

36 for one another, men with men committing what is shameful,
27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful,

37 …and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

38 Cult of Mithras – prevalent
in the Roman legions

39 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge,
God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

40  29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness;

41  they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;

42

43 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice
such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

44 8 …I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all,
that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

45 for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes,
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ,  εὐαγγέλιον Χριστός for it is the power of God δύναμις θεός to salvation for everyone who believes,

46 …for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

47 16 …I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ…
What Next? 16 …I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ…

48 …for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes,
What Next? …for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes,

49 Give Me A Passion For Souls

50 Give me a passion for souls, dear Lord, A passion to save the lost; O that Your love were by all adored, And welcomed at any cost.

51 Jesus, I long, I long to be winning Those who are lost, and constantly sinning; O may this hour be one of beginning The story of pardon to tell.

52 Though there are dangers untold and stern Confronting me in the way, Willingly still would I go, nor turn, But trust You for grace each day.

53 Jesus, I long, I long to be winning Those who are lost, and constantly sinning; O may this hour be one of beginning The story of pardon to tell.

54 How shall this passion for souls be mine
How shall this passion for souls be mine? Lord, please make the answer clear; Help me to throw out the old life line To those who are struggling near.

55 Jesus, I long, I long to be winning Those who are lost, and constantly sinning; O may this hour be one of beginning The story of pardon to tell.

56 Jesus, I long, I long to be winning Those who are lost, and constantly sinning; O may this hour be one of beginning The story of pardon to tell.

57

58 Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom
Romans 11  Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and how inscrutable His ways! For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever. Amen.

59 No Apology Necessary
