Papal Rome “Host and stars” - Daniel 12:3, 8:24
Daniel 8:11: Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. Daily/tamid = continual or regular Used 103 times.
7
Tamid - continually The word tamid (continually/daily) used regarding the sanctuary: The continual bread – shewbread (Num 4:7) The lamp that was to burn continually (Ex 27:20) The fire that was to be kept burning upon the altar (Lev 6:13) The incense that was to be offered morning and evening (Ex 30:7,8) So what does the taking away of the “daily/continually” mean practically?
8
The daily taken away Here are some examples on how the Papacy have taken away the “daily”: The authority of a visible head: the pope, in place of that of Christ, the invisible head of the church. A priestly hierarchy in place of direct access to Christ by all believers. A system of salvation by works ordained by the Church in place of salvation by faith in Christ. The confessional and the sacrifice of the mass in place of the mediating work of Christ as our great high priest. Christ referred to this in the “double” prophecy of Matt 24 and Luke 21.

Christ is representing His children
“And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goeth in before the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually.” Exodus 28:30 “Clouds and darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice[judgement] are the foundation of His throne.” Psalms 97:2 What was cast down in Daniel 8:11? Place (same word as foundation in Ps 97:2). Christ and His judgement.
10
Truth cast down! “And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.” Daniel 8:12 What is truth? John 14:6, 17:17 Court Yard Holy Place Most Holy Place
