6. What is Global Climate Change?
Global climate change refers to the ongoing changes in regional weather patterns, which are affected by the exchange of incoming and outgoing energy in earth’s atmosphere. This process is influenced by many factors, both human and natural, including the Greenhouse Effect, the increased burning of fossil fuels, changes in land use, etc. Several environmental occurrences have begun to illustrate this growing phenomena in recent years.

15. Physical Features of Antarctica: Dry Valleys

16. Animals in Antarctica: Penguins!
Antarctica is home to only six of the seventeen species of penguins. Penguins have adapted to the cold climate of Antarctica over time. Physical makeup: Their outside feathers are oily and waterproof, and underneath they are wrapped in layers of down feathers and body fat. Natural abilities: As flightless birds, penguins rely on their expert and swift swimming ability to “fly” through the water in search of krill and to escape predators such as seals. Behavior: They also huddle together in a group to withstand temperatures of more than −50 °F (−46 °C) and winds that blow at more than 100 miles (161 kilometers) per hour.

You will be writing a narrative from the perspective of one of the penguin groups from Antarctica! Use your notes and Ch. 35 as your inspiration… Your narrative should explain what an average day is like for one of the groups, either surviving through life in the frozen desert or struggling to adapt to the other harsh living conditions. Your narrative should also include factual information about the physical aspects of Antarctica (at least 3 facts) Your narrative should be roughly 1 page written, or about 15 sentences
