3. Week Layout/Requirements:
Monday:
Membean Mondays for 30 minutes
SSR for 20 minutes
Tuesday –Thursday: Reading +
5 See Readers (articles)
3 Read Arounds (vocab)
Friday: Fluency Friday
As you finish up your articles, you will come read a passage to me.
YOU will keep track of the word count, mistakes, and reading time.
At the end of the quarter, you will make a chart to show your improvement.

4. Grading: You will receive 3-4 grades per week:
Summative: Reading Plus See Reader score
Summative: Membean Quiz
Formative: Completion of all required activities
Formative: Fluency Friday Log &/or SSR Reading Log
You will complete a benchmark on Feb 3rd. (progress reports)

5. Incentives:
We will be competing with other CCR & RTI classes for the most combos within a quarter.
Combos are achieved by completing two See Readers with an 80% back to back.
Any student who completes their See Readers with an 80% average for the week will be allowed to use headphones the following week.
Any student who completes all of their assignments & has an 80% average will be allowed to sit where ever they want the following week.
Any student who has completed 8 combos by Feb 3rd will get to participate in a small reward (more details about reward later)
Any student who has completed 20 combos by March 10th will get to participate in a large reward field trip.
Lastly, the class who has the most combos by the end of the quarter (March 10th) will get to have a class reward!

6. Membean:
On the first day of the week, we will use our time to work with Membean.
This program helps with vocabulary.
Today, you need to log in and work on your vocabulary words.
On the last day of the week, you will take a quiz over the words you worked on.
To retake a quiz, you will need to write down the words you missed and show me the correct definitions.

It will help to make the program work for you and will help to pick articles that are interesting and challenging.

Pick up the reading passage and the Fluency Log and add the title and word count to your log.

Read the passage and write your name on the board when you are ready to recite it to me.
Afterward, finish any Reading Plus you need to complete or read your SSR book!
You will have a book report due at the end of the quarter, so make sure you have at least one book read by Feb 10th !
