2. 2019 Pharmacy Benefits FAQ Starting January 1, 2019
All members will receive new ID cards
At the pharmacy, alert the pharmacist that you have a new pharmacy benefit manager – CVS/Caremark
Provide them with your new ID card so they can update your information in their system

3. 2019 Pharmacy Benefits FAQ Starting January 1, 2019
If your medication requires a prior authorization
Your physician will need to contact CVS Customer Care to have a new prior authorization performed to allow your prescription to process
If you are unsure if your drug requires a prior authorization please contact CVS/Caremark at the number listed on the your ID card and ask the customer service rep to perform a coverage check on your medication.

4. 2019 Pharmacy Benefits FAQ Starting January 1, 2019
If you currently have “open” refills on your existing mail order prescription
Any available un-used refills at mail will need to be processed prior to 1/1/2019
On or after 1/1/2019 a new prescription will be required. Make sure to alert your physician of this change so that a new prescription can be written for your first 2019 Rx claim.

30 day supply Can be filled at one of the 68,000 pharmacies within the CVSHealth pharmacy network
(ex: Walgreens, Rite-Aid, CVS, Walmart, etc.)

90 day supply can be filled at the following locations:
one of the 68,000 pharmacies within the CVSHealth pharmacy network or
CVS/Caremark mail order facility
