Product positioning
Maranello & SuperSorb grades are premium to Rocket grades as they can be used for Non contract proofing, as they are a neutral or balanced white. I like to call these “photographer grades”
Rocket grades are designed as price fighters. Great products for those printers using these as a “point of sale” or economical photos. You can use this to fight against “private label” products. (Lexjet, “Billy Bob’s Wide Format Emporium brand”)

HP Pagewide basics:
Printer is positioned as a “CAD/GIS” printer for architectural/engineering market, but there are low cost graphic applications for this printer. Example: recently beginning to show up in “beverage distribution” market.
Print Speed: 30 ARCH D prints (24”x36” or 75’/minute max.)
Sihl has introduced new compatible products.

Basic statistics on HP Latex Sales/Market Share
Market statistic: sales of roll printers (ESLU, Aqueous not included)
37% HP Latex
29% Roland
34% Mimaki, Mutoh, etc.
Good to know the market penetration of HP Latex, but 63% is still ecosolvent.
EcoSolvent still better at hitting color consistency. (Main HP criticism)
