2. Curriculum
The main software program we use is Applied Microtype 3.0.

3. First Half of Semester
To teach proper finger usage and placement on the computer keyboard along with proper body positioning to ensure good health in the future.

4. Second Half of Semester
Once all letters and numbers are introduced, emphasis focuses on speed and accuracy.

5. High School Credit
Students who pass will receive ½ a high school CTE credit for the course.
There is a final exam worth 20% of their semester average.

6. Grading Guidelines
Work will consist of typing program lessons and internet typing program practice.
Follow the district grading guidelines of:
40% Daily work
60% Major grades
3 Major grades per 9 weeks
9 Daily grades per 9 weeks
Grades are updated by Friday each week.

7. Schedule and Conference
Tutoring will be on an as needed basis by request and will need to be arranged ahead of time.
Students may also use Genius Period (Advisory)
Late bus is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays
My conference time is 4th period between the hours of 10:19 and 11:07.

We use a lot of paper in this class for printing daily assignments.
1 ream of paper per student would be appreciated.
