ACTIVITIES RESUME FIRST, speak to your teacher/counselor and ASK them to write you a letter of recommendation. Give at least 3 weeks notice!!! Complete your activity resume in Naviance. Teachers/Counselors will need a copy of your activities resume in order to write a thorough letter of recommendation for you. You may provide this through Naviance or hand deliver a hard copy. To complete your resume on Naviance, click on the ABOUT ME tab. RESUME is under “My Stuff”.
4
LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
Once your teacher/counselor has agreed to write a letter, you MUST also request it through Naviance. Under the COLLEGES tab, click on Letters of Recommendation. 1. Find the teacher/counselor you asked to write you a letter in the drop down menu. 2. Choose if the letter is to go to all colleges or only specific colleges. 3. Type a note to the teacher/counselor thanking them and any specifics he or she should know(you must tell them if it is a common application in the note so he or she knows to complete the additional form required). 4. If it is a common application, your counselor will write a letter too so please be sure to provide them with an activities resume as well.
