No-Check Hockey NO CHECK ENVIRONMENT
The majority of games played under USA Hockey’s umbrella are actually no-check hockey. The membership wants to emphasize the skill and finesse parts of the game of hockey. Many leaders within USA Hockey would like to see checking taken out of the 12U Level. USA Hockey’s Annual Congress has implemented a national tourney for youth no-check.

NO CHECK GUIDELINES No-check hockey does not mean non-contact.
Players will establish body position to play the puck. Angling is used to separate their opponent from the puck. A player that removes a hand from a stick to separate a player from the puck is an indicator that he/she is no longer playing the puck rather the body. Degree of impact and initial separation from opponents is also an indicator of a check. All other aggressive fouls (high stick, cross check, etc.) should be penalized accordingly.

Play No-Check Video NO CHECK CONCLUSION (Emphasize & Read out loud)
“No-check Hockey is very skill oriented and is played much the same way the game was played in the old days. One could also argue that this purest form of the game, without the intimidation and violent mentality, is also the way the game was meant to be played.” Matt Leaf Play No-Check Video
