5 Short Answer # 1 Why was Great Britain able to industrialize while other countries were not? “Great Britain had resources that other countries did not have. Britain also kept people from leaving so the people would not tell other countries about their ideas. They had disease which forced them to create new ways to get rid of it and to move so the disease would not spread again. “

6 Short Answer # 1 Why was Great Britain able to industrialize while other countries were not? “Great Britain was able to industrialize while others were not because they had the three things needed to grow. The first thing they had was capitol, they had the money needed to build factories and machinery. The next thing they had was natural resources, they had an abundance of natural resources such as coal to fuel there productions to create profit. The last thing they had was labor, there was a good number of people who were in desperate need for money at the time and would do anything for a job. Along with these things Great Britain is also an island, which means that they didn't have to worry so much about attacks on their land, and could stay focused on creating cities. Yet another thing Britain had was many ways to trade, because they were surrounded by water they were able to get products out and make money, and gain products for resources.

7 Short Answer # 2 What were the positive and negative effects of the growth of cities? “Positive effects of the cities growing were more people who would work in factories. Negative effects were people were getting sick fast because of how close they were together and if injured, they would be fired and black listed.“

8 Short Answer # 2 What were the positive and negative effects of the growth of cities? “Moving to cities through the posses of urbanization had its advantages. It provided people with more job opportunities, entertainment, a more close community, a growing middle class, and services. However cities did also have some setbacks. Even with the new job opportunity they were most often forced to work in factories because they were every poor and the population was too grate. The surplus population made it crowded in the small cities allowing dises to rampage through person to person rapidly. The infrastructure couldn't keep up with the amount of people moving to the cities, so there was wast on the street making it a very stinky and unpleasant place to live. “
