Forests, rivers, and mountains

They did not farm, but women gathered nuts, fruit, roots, and seeds.

5. Animals They hunted deer, elk, and other game.
Once they had horses, they used them to herd buffalo.
They also fished.

6. Clothing Women wore long deerskin dresses. Men wore buckskin.
Clothes were made from trees, shrubs, and animal skins.
