Amit and his mum Daya on a normal day. They live alone with no source of income but are recipient’s of Social Welfare’s Scheme - monthly Voucher & Allowance. Amit’s dad passed away in Daya preparing to lift his son onto the donated wheelchair from VSIAF.

Amit happy to sit up on his new wheelchair. Able to see things on a normal upright position and eat sitting position instead of being propped up on pillows in a slant position.

Amit’s mum Daya baths him on the porch with no privacy. VSIAF decided to construct a walkway to the bathroom and widen out the walls as to fit them both. Daya was able to wheel Amit out of the house with no strain of lifting him in and out for his daily bath/needs.
