About 75% of those water bottles that could be recycled end up in landfills.
If even one quarter of the plastic bottles at Hamilton were recycled, this would save over plastic from degrading for over 4 million years in landfills.

11. Transcendentalism
An idealistic philosophical and social movement that developed in New England around 1836 in reaction to rationalism. Influenced by romanticism, Platonism, and Kantian philosophy, it taught that divinity pervades all nature and humanity, and its members held progressive views on feminism and communal living. Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau were central figures.

12. Rhetoric Rhetoric: Close Reading: Rhetorical Analysis:
The traditional definition of rhetoric, first proposed by Aristotle, and embellished over the centuries by scholars and teachers, is that rhetoric is the art of observing in any given case the “available means of persuasion.”
Close Reading:
Reading to “develop an understanding of a text that is based first on the words themselves and then on the larger ideas those words suggest.”
Rhetorical Analysis:
Defining an author’s purpose, then identifying and analyzing the techniques and strategies employed to achieve that purpose.
