1. Genius Hour
Genius Hour allows students to explore their own passions and work on something that they are interested in. It provides students a choice in what they learn during a set period of time during school.
Google started it by giving their employees 20%of their time to work on something, as long it benefitted the company. this led to the successful projects such as the creation of Gmail.

2. WHAT WE DID
CLAR ASKED US WHAT WE WERE INTERESTED IN & PASSIONATE ABOUT.
WE CREATED A MIND MAP TO RECORD OUR IDEAS & INTERESTS WHICH HELPED US TO DECIDE THE TOPIC FOR OUR GENIUS HOUR PROJECT.
DIARMAID WROTE STAR WARS, MARIO,DRAWING & ANIMATION.
JOSH WROTE ART,VIDEO GAMES,YOUTUBE,FUN VII,MINECRAFT,MAKING A MOVIE.

3. OUR DECISION
WE CHOSE ANIMATION BECAUSE WE BOTH SEEMED INTERESTED AND WANTED TO LEARN MORE ABOUT IT.
WE DECIDED TO USE AN APP CALLED STOP MOTION.
STOPMOTION IS WHEN YOU TAKE A MATERIAL EG CLAY OR LEGO AND YOU TAKE A PICTURE, ONE FRAME AT A TIME.

4. HOW WE MADE IT
WE CHOSE LEGO BECAUSE WE THOUGHT THAT IT WAS SUITABLE TO CREATE OUR MARIO VIDEO.
WE GOT A BOX OF LEGO AND CREATED THE BACKROUND AND MADE THE FIGURES AND OBJECTS FOR THE SCENES.
WE DREW OUT A PLAN AND BEGAN TO MAKE OUR FILM.

5. HOW WE MADE IT 2
WE TOOK TURNS TAKING THE PHOTOS AND MOVING THE FIGURES.
AFTER EACH PHOTO WE HAD TO SLIGHTLY MOVE THE OBJECTS TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THEY WERE MOVING.
THIS TOOK A LONG TIME AND A LOT OF PHOTOS. WE NEEDED LOTS OF PATIENCE AS IT WAS A LONG, SLOW PROCESS.
