Down with the Sickness MV
Reflection Question

Conventions and Styles
The Music Video Fight scene Idea, in my mind, was overused. However, upon googling “Music Video Fights” and variations of those words, I was not able to find an abundant amount. Run the Jewel’s “Close Your Eyes” features a more violent and seemingly realistic fistfight.

Social Media Engagement
Having the video, not only on a personal blog, but also on YouTube are two of the ways the video is distributed a Engagement With the fast pace beat and repeating tone of the song Down with the Sickness, allows for a great fight scene that many audiences would love. Distributing the video on YouTube also allows engagement with a more variety of people on the internet.

Developed Skills Having some background in editing and filming, I used those skills and throughout this allowed my skills to expand even more. Adjusting the music to the video, however, was a new experience that was more or less new. Adjusting the speed of different clips to match with the momentum of the song was an… experience. An excruciatingly harsh one that is.

Technologies Creative Cloud
Adobe Creative Cloud is a slew of software that features Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Audition CC and more. Adobe Premiere was the main piece of editing software that was used to create the video itself. Audition is an audio editing device that was considered to edit the song but time constraints did not allow this.

Technologies Cont’d Hardware used was my very own, self made, Personal Computer. The internet was used mainly just for finding creative inspiration from.

Down with the Sickness Overall, this experience has really widened my understanding of content making and all the hard work that comes with it. If I was ever asked to do something similar to this again, the quality of that video would be ten times better since at least now, I know what I am doing.
