Paraffin sections were stained for DAPI, CD117 and tryptase as described in Materials and methods. Individual stainings and the overlay (right column) are presented, as well as examples of degranulated and non-degranulated mast cells, isotype stainings and overview images. All pictures were taken on 40× magnification. We digitally zoomed-in in the overview pictures to select examples of non-degranulated and degranulated mast cells.
