2 steak This is a T-bone steak. Steak is sold in the meat section of the grocery store.

3 ham Ham comes from pigs. It is a salty meat.

4 chicken Chicken can be fried, baked, broiled, grilled, or boiled.

5 turkey People eat turkey on Thanksgiving Day.

6 duck Duck is a popular meat in China.

7 whole pig Some cultures roast whole pigs in the ground.

8 bacon Bacon is a popular breakfast food. It is usually served with eggs, toast, and hash browns.

9 ground beef Ground beef is used to make hamburger patties, meatballs, and meatloaf.

10 salami Salami is used to make sandwiches. It is often served with mustard and pickles.

11 sausages Link sausages include Polish sausage and Italian sausage.

12 hot dogs Hot dogs are popular at picnics.

13 lunchmeats Lunchmeats are “processed meats.” They are often used in sandwiches.

14 fish People should eat two or three servings of fish each week.

15 shrimp Shrimp needs to be “deveined” or cleaned before eating.

16 crab Crabs have a hard shell and not much meat. Crabs are usually steamed or boiled.
