Goals & Expectations will exhibit exceptional academic abilities
will reach a STAR Reading Lexile score of 1050L or higher by the completion of 8th grade will participate in all required interdisciplinary projects and academic competitions will receive a compacted curriculum in all content areas that provides enrichment and rigor above the standard curriculum for Grady County will perform at a STAR Math grade equivalent of 9.5 or higher by the completion of 8th grade will exhibit appropriate behavior at all times will maintain good attendance will be fully prepared for high school and Dual Enrollment college classes will maintain a cumulative academic average of 80% or higher to remain in the Honors Academy

Intro. to the Classics Our two ELA instructors have both updated our reading selections this past summer. Several new units and novels will be implemented this year at every grade level in order to align and enrich our rigorous ELA curriculum.

Probation Policy - Update
Grades will be checked each nine weeks and teachers will be contacting parents regarding grades. A mandatory meeting with Mrs. Danielle Jones and Mrs. Tilda Brimm will be held in January to discuss Probation if the cumulative average falls below an 80 average after 1st semester.
