Adding fractions (Finding the sum)
5 + = When adding fractions, only add the numerator. The denominator stays the same.

Now let’s change improper fractions to mixed numbers

Subtracting with mixed numbers
7 6 = You cannot subtract 5 from 2 so….. We need to borrow or ungroup. - 5 5 = 1

Please change to a mixed number 5 1 = = Multiply the whole number and the numerator. The denominator stays the same.
