EXPLANATION: Identifies the exact spot (absolute location) or where it is in relation to other places (relative location)

Relative location: On the Potomac River, Next to Virginia, Maryland, Absolute Location: 38:54:18N and 77:00:58W

EXPLANATION: DESCRIBE the place…physical and human features of that place
