It is the world’s hottest desert.

When it rains, it can be so much that it causes flash floods.
20% is sand, rest is rock and gravel.

There are oases scattered throughout the Sahara Desert.

Fruits and vegetables can also be grown here.

A semi-dry rolling plain that stretches across Africa from the Atlantic to Indian Oceans.
10 to 20 inches of rain per year.
Animals: goats, sheep, and cattle.

The Nile is home to mostly reptiles. The Nile Crocodile is the largest African Crocodile and can grow to 20 ft!
