Morning Announcements
First Quarter: “The Show” Those who have not taken the class before will have to learn on the fly at first Need to get the show off the ground See what they know/don’t know/what they’re interested in Equipment Room Managers – Community Service New roll for Segment Editor/Segment Editor’s sheet Incorporate OTS graphics We need to learn Tricaster 4 (four) potential grades every class: “Production” grade: Your “homework”-- Package/story idea every day “Segment” grade: Package creation/production (effort/clipboard) “Air” grade: Package/story on air/quality “Show” grade: A flawless show will be an “A”; any on-air, public gaffs, minus one letter grade Second Quarter “The Breakup” Any students who desire to break apart from The Show and follow other work: Film, shorts, animation, graphic design, etc…(we have much technology) Rest of class continues show Third and Fourth Quarter Repetition breeds competency in anything artistic or technological Find a job they like and keep it (including ER Managers!) DAILY GRADING=CLIPBOARD, GROUP FOLDERS

Grading Policy 10% Notes 20% Quiz
35% Production Days (including pre- and post-) 35% Viewing Days / Tests 100% Total This is an elective. I am not here to fail your child. However, if a student does not do the work, and complete it on time, he or she will get exactly the grade they deserve. I have been doing this for 20 years and have never had an argument about a grade.

SASPHS CAC (the Cinematic Arts Commission)
Will be creating material school wide (Open House, Homecoming, etc). Will be participating in school events such as the Harvest Festival. Will be recording sporting events, concerts, and performances.

Home learning Don’t really have it right now.
All projects are completed during class. Will make something home learning if absolutely necessary.

Volunteer Policy Per contract, parents must complete 30 volunteer hours per school year. Donated items must be submitted to the office with a receipt.

Needed donations: 4GB SD cards for students who loose them.
Headphones/earbuds for computers Splitters 1/8th-1/8th inch phone plugs LCD screen cleaner and wipes Normal stuff (hand sanitizer, tissues, towels, etc…)
