3. BEST PRACTICES FOLLOWED BY THE UT
UT share of cooking cost is Rs. 6 per child per day for both Primary and Upper Primary Classes.
The scheme is regularly monitored by the VECs, PTAs and Mothers’ Committee.
UT provides boiled eggs twice a week and bananas once a week as additional food items to all students enrolled in both primary and upper primary classes.
Double Fortified Salt is being used in cooking of MDM.

26. As per UT, the total project cost for 155 KCs is Rs. 1531. 57 Lakhs
Funding pattern change to 100%
Out of Central Share of Rs.499 Lakhs in r/o completed 96 projects, Central Share released so far is Rs Lakhs. As the fund was released late, there was surrender of Rs Lakhs . As such, Central Share available in respect of ongoing works is Rs Lakhs (Rs Lakhs – Rs. 499 Lakhs = Rs Lakhs).
Therefore, UT is requesting for release Central Assistance of Rs Lakhs (Rs Lakhs – Lakhs) to complete the remaining 155 KCs.

MHRD has sanctioned 127 Units of KDs in UT could not utillize the amount as the LOA was expired.
MHRD sanctioned an amount Rs.6.35 Lakhs for replacement of KDs in 127 Schools during Due to delay in receipt of LOS from MHRD, the UT could not utilize the same and surrendered it to MHRD.
