What is S.A.E.? Supervised Agricultural Experience are… Planned, practical activities conducted outside of class time (homework), in which students develop and apply agricultural knowledge and skills. YOU design & complete your S.A.E. Others can help you: teacher, parents, etc…

The 4 Types of S.A.E. Placement - This category of SAE involves regularly working for someone. It can be paid or unpaid.

The 4 Types of S.A.E. Exploratory - This category of SAE is short-term and there is no ownership involved. It allows students to explore ag subjects or careers.

3 SAE Project Requirements: 1 - SAE Plan Create a plan in your AET online SAE recordbook. Describe your project Set S.M.A.R.T. goals (Specific, Measureable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) Due early in semester

3 SAE Project Requirements: 2 - Journal In your AET online SAE recordbook keep track of time spent money spent & earned skills & knowledge developed Graded end of each month (3 grades)

3 SAE Project Requirements: 3 - Display This is to communicate to fellow students, teachers, parents & guardians, and community members what you did & learned with your SAE! Graded at the end of the semester 10 displays (community judges) will be displayed at the Ag Ed Expo at Black River Country Bank in early June! And they will provide lunch!
